At Kingsley, we understand the tremendous value that parent volunteers play to enhance our educational mission. The new LAUSD Volunteer Policy requires that parents interested in being field trip chaperones complete the LAUSD volunteer application process that a classroom volunteer completes. Here are the steps required for all Kingsley volunteers:
- Complete the LAUSD volunteer application at the start of each school year. Visit https://volunteerapp.lausd.net to register/log in.
- Volunteers must have a valid T.B. clearance certificate from their doctor. This must be renewed every four years.
- Attend a Volunteer Training. This is required when you first begin to volunteer, and needs to be renewed the same year that your T.B. clearance is renewed. Various volunteer trainings are scheduled at the beginning of the year. Dates and times can be found in the monthly calendar. In addition, you can call the Parent Center at 323.644.7700 to schedule a volunteer training appointment.
